Jack Fields Obituary, Death Cause – On Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the age of 79, Jack D. Fields, a cherished Dennison, Illinois, citizen, died away in the comfort of his own home. Jack was a wonderful person whose kind heart and wide range of abilities impacted the lives of many. Jack Fields was the son of Leroy Fields and Waunita Candler Fields, and he was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on August 27, 1944. In addition to being a family guy, he had a strong sense of community commitment. Jack was a proud member of Teamsters Local #135 and an active member of the West Terre Haute First Baptist Church.
Jack had a natural knack for mechanics and a passion of learning that followed him throughout his life. After completing his education at West Vigo High School in 1962, he gained notoriety for his ability to mend anything. Along with his technical prowess, he was an avid outdoorsman who spent his whole life fishing and hunting. A loyal wife of 58 years, Lynnette Brown Fields, and their four children, Karen Fields, Kathleen Lammert (Joe), Jack D. Fields II (Terri), and Jason Wade Fields, make up the loving family that Jack leaves behind.
In addition, he was a loving great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren and a devoted grandfather to Lukas Parker (Allison), Nickolas Parker (Hannah Lewis), Collin Fields (Lexi), and Kyndall Fields. Apart from his close relatives, Jack also leaves behind his sister Nancy Augustus, a good friend Jim Ricketts, and other nieces and nephews. Leroy and Waunita Fields, his parents, and Paul Augustus, his brother-in-law, before him in death. Warmth, generosity, and ingenuity are the legacy that Jack D. Fields, a man of many abilities and a loving dad, left behind. His friends, family, and the community he so loved will all miss him terribly. Those who were fortunate enough to know him will always carry his memories with them.
