No Country for the win. I love Inception, but I love No Country just a little bit more.
on 12/3/2012
Both are instant classics but No Country is the more enduring film.
on 12/3/2012
Both are modern classics of today. I think Inception is the more cohesive though.

I think I need to see No Country again, but for now, it's Inception.

Inception, No country for old men is way overrated
on 1/31/2013
There's no shame in losing to Inception, and lose No Country for Old Men does.
on 1/31/2013
Noooooon, rien de rien. Noooooon, je ne regrette rien.

They really could have had the same ending...Tommy Lee Jones saying "And then I woke up..."

C'mon people.

As Caesar said, there is absolutely no shame in losing to Inception. It rarely does lose. That being said, No Country for Old Men is an absolutely stunning, fantastic movie from beginning to end. Inception is so much more than that though...

NCFOM
on 12/3/2013
Both movies that were all a dream.
on 12/3/2013
I believe that the end of Inception is talked about too much. I also believe that it wasn't a dream. No Country is an amazing film, but Inception raises thought provoking questions like the end of Inception. However, there are parts of Inception that are much more worthy of being talked about than the ending. What about all the greatness and thought provoking questions during the middle portion of the movie? The third layer at the Snow Palace, the scene underwater involving the kick, and many other things. Anyways, I just felt I had to let that out. Both spectacular movies, but I prefer Inception.

Today will be the day inception falls out of my top 20 and NCFOM crawls in
on 5/30/2014
I love both. No Country wins however.

No Country wins by a bit
on 1/16/2016
Incredibly tough here! I think I'll give the edge to No Country for achieving such greatness in a bleak landscape and possessing a great story and performances. Taking nothing away from Inception which is equally awesome.
on 1/17/2016
Inception crushes it.
on 1/17/2016
I hated NCFOM. Just hated it. Inception was an intriguing romp. Not even close here.
on 4/6/2018
Two incredible films and I prefer the gritty modern western.

The Neo-Western Crime Thriller vs. The Science Fiction Action film. No Country barley wins against Inception. Two of the best films of the 21st century. Inception might be more mind-blowing, thought-provoking, and aesthetically impressive. But No Country for Old Men is more psychologically traumatizing, philosophically complicated, and powerful storytelling. At the end, it's character vs. concept, death vs. dream, and Chigurh vs. Cobb. No Country takes it by a milometer.

No country is value that good
